Hi!
I’m Amber Padilla is a cartoonist and illustrator based in Oakland, CA. I’m proud to say my first graphic novel The Secret Garden on 81st Street: A Modern Graphic Retelling of The Secret Garden is currently available for purchase at a local bookstore near you. I am also the author/illustrator of the forthcoming YA graphic novel Sugar Coated. At my current day job I hobnob with Snoopy and the Peanuts gang over at the Schulz Studio in Santa Rosa, CA. Originally from Santa Ana CA, I was raised on a healthy diet of animation, science fiction, soap operas, and Japanese anime and manga. When I’m not drawing or crafting (current crafting obsession: sewing), I enjoy snuggling with my cat, and spending time with my husband, family, and friends.
