ANNOUNCING: Sugar Coated
I’m proud to announce the acquisition of my debut graphic novel as a writer/illustrator: Sugar Coated. The work was acquired by Megan Peace and David Saylor at Scholastic Graphix.
In this coming-of-age YA novel, Latinx protagonist Annabelle Romo is the awkward new girl in school who is trying to fit in and find love… as somebody else. Through the sweet treats she bakes and the sugar-coated online profile she makes, Annabelle soon discovers that finding friends and finding love isn't nearly as challenging as finding herself. Publication is set for 2024; Dara Hyde at Hill Nadell Literary negotiated the deal.
